Weathered Objects
Weathered Objects are ancient objects that have been shaped and altered over the years by sandblasting wind and rushing water. They may not appear to be much, but a seasoned Daeva knows very well what treasures they can possibly contain.
There are heavy restrictions in place in order to be able to extract from a Weathered Object. Your Essencetapping level must be a minimum of 400, your level must be 50 or higher, and you must also have a specific consumable extraction item in your inventory.
Weathered Objects can obtain many different types of gatherable items of all different rarities. They can also, albeit rarely, house uniquely skinned, fabled weapons.
Information on Weathered Objects
1. Inggison and Gelkmaros contain the same amount of Weathered Objects.
2. The spawn locations are generally places that can only be accessed either by gliding or through an air current/windstream.
3. The spawning of Weathered Objects is random, however they will always appear in the same areas.
4. You may only gather Weathered Objects in your faction’s territory (Elyos/Inggison, Asmodian/Gelkmaros).
In addition, Weathered Objects have different spawn characteristics than normal gatherable items. The designated areas below indicate possible spawn locations for Weathered Objects and Huge Weathered Objects. Not all spawn points will house a Weathered Object at any given time.
Activators
Activators are limited sale items that are required for Essencetapping Weathered Objects.
As with other limited sale items, there is a limited stock that each player may purchase as well as a server limit. Once depleted, it will be restocked during certain times during the day.
Only two NPCs sell these special activators; Cretos for the Elyos and Lucia for the Asmodians. These two are slightly hidden away from view and can be accessed via windstream or defeating a monster blocking a burst of air.
Cretos sells the Activators that Elyos players will need to use to gather from Weathered Objects. He can be found in the Inggison Gravepit.
You may purchase 20 Activators at a time from Cretos.
Lucia sell the Activators that Asmodian players will need to use to gather from Weathered Objects. She can be found in the Marayas Wilds.
You may purchase 20 Activators at a time from Lucia.
Finding Cretos

The easiest way to get to Cretos is to take a Flight Path to Soteria Sanctuary and run North to the closest Wind Stream. |

You will need to exit the Wind Stream before it ends. Watch for the scene above and glide out. |

Illanthe Hundredyears blocks the Air Current that leads up to Cretos. You will have to defeat him and ride the wind upwards. |

Finding Lucia

Take a Flight Path to Subterranea Observation Post and run across the bridge to the North of the camp.
Continue to the left and enter the Wind Stream. |
