Supplements
Supplements are a new consumable introduced in 1.9 that increase the success rate of Enchanting or Socketing manastones to an item.
Types of Supplements
Currently, there are 3 tiers of Supplements: Heroic and below, Fabled, and Eternal.
In addition, Supplements are divided into Lesser, Regular, and Greater strengths. The strength of the Supplement determines the increase in success rate. Only Lesser Supplements of each tier are being introduced in 1.9, while other strengths are scheduled to be added later on.
| | Name | Description |
| Lesser Supplements (For Eternal Class) | If used together during enchantment or manastone socketing, increases the success rate of enchantment or manastone socketing slightly. It can be used for an Eternal Class item. |
| Lesser Supplements (For Fabled Class) | If used together during enchantment or manastone socketing, increases the success rate of enchantment or manastone socketing slightly. It can be used for a Fabled Class item. |
| Lesser Supplements (For Heroic Class or Lower) | If used together during enchantment or manastone socketing, increases the success rate of enchantment or manastone socketing slightly. It can be used for a Common, Superior, and Heroic Class item. |
How to Purchase
Supplements can be purchased from the potion supplies merchant in each village. For Elyos, merchants are located in Eltnen, Heiron, and Sanctum. For Asmodians, it can be purchased from those located in Morheim, Beluslan or Pandaemonium.
Also, please note that remodeled items merchants also sell Supplements.
Supplements Required - Enchantment
When enchanting an item, the number of Supplements required changes depending on the level of enchantment stone used.
The higher the level of the enchantment stone, the more Supplements are needed. If the enchantment of an item exceeds 10, the number of required Supplements doubles. The table on the right shows the number of Supplements needed based on the level of the enchantment stone.
Level of Enchantment Stone | 1-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | 51-60 | 61-70 | 71-80 | 81-90 | 91-100 |
| Enchanting from 1 to 10 | 1 | 5 | 10 | 25 | 55 | 85 | 115 | 145 |
| Enchanting to 11+ | 2 | 10 | 20 | 50 | 110 | 170 | 230 | 290 |
Supplements Required - Manastone
Supplements can also be used during manastone socketing. The number of Supplements required changes depending on the level and type of a manastone and the order in which a manastone is socketed.
For example: The widely used manastone, Manastone: Attack +5, consumes 75 Supplements when it is socketed into the first manastone slot on an item. But when it is socketed into a 6th manastone slot it consumes 6 times more: 450 Supplements.
- Conditions that determine the number of Supplements required
Conditions | Description |
| Manastone Type | The required number of Supplements changes depending on the type of manastone. In the case of Attack and Crit Strike manastones, it requires 5 times the number of Supplements than needed for other manastones. |
| Manastone Level | The higher the level of manastone, the more Supplements will be consumed. |
| Manastone Grade | The number of Supplements consumed varies depending on the manastone grade. Rare manastones consume 5 times more Supplements than normal manastones. |
| Manastone Slot | The number of Supplements used varies depending on which slot is being socketed. For example: Socketing the 4th slot of an item will require 4 times the Supplements than the 1st slot of the item. |
How to use
If you try to enchant an item or socket a manastone while Supplements are in your cube, a Supplement window appears.
From here, you can see how many Supplements are required and choose which quality of Supplement to use. The required amount of Supplements changes depending on conditions of an enchantment stone or manastone.
Supplement Efficiency Test
We performed a test to determine roughly how efficient Supplements are.
The test is comparing the difference between using and not using Supplements while enchanting the level 50 Fabled Class weapon, Anuhart Elite’s Spear, using level 70 enchantment stones.
Please note the following about the test:
Enchantment Target : Anuhart Elite’s Spear Enchantment Stone: Level 70 Enchantment Stone Test Condition: Enchanting 100 times with and without Supplements. Attempted until +10 enchantment is achieved. Then, begin enchanting another target. ※ Note: The following test was performed to check the efficiency of Supplements. Other results may occur when conditions are changed, such as an item’s level, enchantment number, level of enchantment stone, etc... |
- Without Supplements (x = failure o = success)
 |
|
Where 1-10 is the Attempt# and + is the Enchant Level |
One +10 enchantment and one +7 enchantment of the level 50 Fabled Class item was achieved by consuming 100 level 70 enchantment stones. 57 of the 100 enchantments succeeded giving a 57% Success Rate.
- With Supplements (o = success x = failure)
 |
|
Where 1-10 is the Attempt# and + is the Enchant Level |
The results using Supplements under the same conditions yielded three +10 enchantments and one +8 enchantment. It succeeded 68 out of 100 times giving a 68% Success Rate. The success rate was 11% higher than when Supplements were not used.
Typically, a level 75 to 85 enchantment stone would be used to enchant item. This is because the higher level stones have a better success rate and reduces the cost compared to lower level stones, which are more unstable. The test above confirms the efficiency of Supplements using a level 70 enchantment stone. A higher success rate can be expected if using a higher level enchantment stone, which would normally be used. |
