Picking Up the Past
The Picking Up the Past event runs from Wednesday September 7th, 2011 to Wednesday, October 5th, 2011.
Researchers from Elysea and Asmodae have undertaken a bold new project—cataloguing
Atreia's history in a new Natural History Museum! The competition is fierce, with both Elyos and Asmodians striving to make their museum Atreia's first. Armed with a careful eye and a sense of adventure, it is up to Daevas to uncover fossils and support their researchers.
While finding fossils might sound as simple as picking rocks off the ground, most of the best specimens have been unearthed by monsters and instance bosses, which only the bravest Daevas will be able to retrieve.
Museum curators are offering grand rewards to the Daevas who gather the most fossils, so grab a shovel and get to it!

Tips and Tricks
See below for Tips and Tricks from the Aion Community Team!
1. Collect Surveys Every Day
Surveys that contain Plant Fossils don't stack, so it's best to log-in at least once every day to collect Plant Fossils from the Surveys distributed during the Picking Up the Past event!
2. Plant Fossils = Animal Fossils!
Siglet and Elmanana will trade Plant Fossils for Animal Fossils, which can in-turn be traded for Abyss Relics and the unique Couple's T-Shirts from the Picking Up the Past event. This further emphasizes the importance of collecting the in-game Surveys that distribute Plant Fossils!
3. Don't Rush to the Finish!
The Picking Up the Past event lasts for a month, and it is intended for players to experience this event over an extended period of time, amassing Fossils during their normal play.
