An Asmodian Personal Kisk

A Kisk serves as a mobile Obelisk, and can be placed in most locations throughout Atreia. There are a handful of locations where Kisks cannot be placed to prevent potential exploits or unfair advantages.

When a Kisk is placed, players can bind to it like they would an Obelisk. A Kisk lasts two hours, and for the duration that the Kisk remains players can bind to it, and will resurrect at the Kisk upon death. However, each Kisk has a limited number of uses (the amount of times a player can resurrect at the Kisk) based on its type.

The four primary types of Kisks are Personal Kisks, Group Kisks, Alliance Kisks, and Legion Kisks.

Personal Kisks can only be used by a single player, and provide up to 3 resurrections before being destroyed. There are a couple of Quests that offer Personal Kisks as a reward, and players can also receive a Personal Kisk as a Veteran Reward, or as an Event reward. Outside of these special circumstances, Personal Kisks are not readily available.

Group Kisks can be used by up to 6 players, and are intended for use by a Group of players. Group Kisks provide up to 18 resurrections before being destroyed. Group Kisks can be purchased from a General Goods vendor and many vendors throughout the world. Group Kisks are helpful for Group Quests and Group Instanced Dungeons.

An Elyos Legion Kisk

Alliance Kisks can be used by up to 24 players, and are intended for use by an Alliance of players. Alliance Kisks provide up to 72 resurrections before being destroyed. Alliance Kisks can be purchased from a General Goods vendor and many vendors throughout the world. Alliance Kisks are helpful for Fortress sieges and Alliance Instanced Dungeons like the Abyssal Splinter.

Legion Kisks can be used by up to 48 players, and are intended for use by a Legion of players. Legion Kisks provide up to 144 resurrections before being destroyed. Legion Kisks can be purchased from a General Goods vendor and many vendors throughout the world. Legion Kisks are helpful for Fortress sieges and widescale PvP battles.

Be aware, Kisks can be destroyed by enemy players, so concealing a Kisk placed in an enemy’s zone or in a PvP zone is a wise idea!

To help conceal a Kisk, players can also purchase special Camouflage Kisks from the same vendors as other Kisks. These Kisks are designed to remain concealed in different environments. There are 5 types of Camouflage Kisks:

Tundra Kisk – Blends into snow and ice
Marine Kisk – Blends into water
Sandy Kisk – Blends into sand and desert
Fiery Kisk – Blends into lava and magma
Steppe Kisk – Blends into grass

Three different camouflaged Kisks: Marine Kisk (left), Sandy Kisk (middle), and Tundra Kisk (right)

Discerning a well placed camouflage Kisk from the surrounding landscape can be quite a challenge, and when choosing a spot, it’s most important to be aware of the shadows that the Kisk gives off, as these are the easiest way to identify it from a distance.
