Like the sword, the greatsword allows for both offense and defense. However, due to the much larger blade size, this weapon requires the use of both hands to control. Templars tend to use this weapon when alone and attacking single foes (where a shield is not required), while Gladiators will use this weapon on occasion to dispatch single foes when a polearm is not needed.

Rarity

Description

Common

These are common items that can be found throughout the world. Vendors in some areas may carry some of these items.

Superior

These items are more uncommon. Generally these items have extra or increased stat buffs. Contribution vendors have items of this rarity and above that have stat increases for PvP.

Heroic

These items are hard to find and have even more increased stat buffs than Rare items. Contribution vendors also sell several of these items, however they are a bit more expensive.

Fabled

These items are the hardest to find and most expensive to purchase from Contribution vendors. However, they make up for it by having the highest increased stat bonuses.

Eternal

Eternal items are extremely rare and difficult to obtain. They are usually only available as drops and are the most coveted items in the world of Atreia.
