Earth Resistance is a defensive attribute, and affects a character’s ability to mitigate damage from incoming Earth based attacks or spells. While Earth Resistance sounds similar to Magic Resistance, it is more akin to Block or Parry, as it reduces the damage players receive from Earth based attacks and spells, rather than preventing the damage all together. As players increase their Earth Resistance, they will receive less damage from Earth based attacks and spells.


Earth Resistance is a situational attribute. Earth Resistance can be useful when fighting enemies or players that inflict damage with Earth based attacks and spells, though it provides no benefit versus other types of damage.


A high Earth Resistance attribute may be important in certain situations, such as when fighting a Named Monster or player that uses Earth based attacks and spells.
