Dyes
In Aion, players are judged by their passion for fashion as much as their skill in battle, so it’s important to kick butt and look good while doing it!
Dyes are one of many ways players can customize their appearance. Each dye has a unique color, and with hundreds of different armor skins and dozens of different dyes, the potential combinations are near endless!
Though players can dye the vast majority of armor, there are a handful of items, including Abyss PvP armor and Balic crafted armor, which cannot be dyed.

Twenty Sided Dyes (The Chance to Gather Petal Dyes)
While gathering from specific plants throughout Elysea and Asmodae, players have a small chance to gather a petal. These petals function like dyes, and can be used to dye armor a color similar to that of the plant.
There are 7 plants in Asmodae, and 7 plants in Elysea from which players have a chance to gather petals, and each petal has a unique color.
While there is potential danger for a swift and fruitless return, it is possible to use a Rift to enter the opposing faction’s lands and collect petals from their flowering plants.
But If entering the opposing faction’s lands, be sure to keep a sharp eye out for adversaries; rival Daevas don’t take kindly to their plants being plundered!
Gathering Petals
Players have a 2% chance to gather a petal from the following plants:
There is no correlation between a player’s Essencetapping skill level and the chance to gather a petal from a plant.
