Bluebeard

BLARGH! I’m so sick of never getting loot! Why has Aion forsaken me, a loyal and devout Asmodian servant?! Perhaps those hairless, spineless, sunpoxed Elyos were on to something after all…

Duddlinerk

By fur on Daeva’s back, don’t say such silly things! Duddlinerk has idea that will put Coin in Daeva’s pocket and loot in Daeva’s coffers! But remember...friends share, so Daeva must not forget friends when time comes, nyerk!

No good drops from Instanced Dungeons? Crafting critical failures inciting rage quits? Spending too much Kinah on stylish skins?

Have no fear, there is a solution! In Aion, one of the simpler methods to acquire better equipment is to complete Quests which offer Coin rewards.

Coins can be used to purchase Superior, Heroic, and Fabled grade equipment from vendors throughout Elysea, Asmodae, and Balaurea. Each race has a different set of equipment with a unique appearance.

Earning Coinage

Earning Coinage edit

Coins are primarily obtained through three different methods (though there are exceptions): Quest rewards, Coin Chests, and Demon’s Eye and Angel’s Eye turn-ins. In addition, special in-game events sometimes yield Coins as a reward, such as the Summer Event: Scorching Heat.

Many Coin Administration Officers also offer Coin Quests

A wide variety of rewards are available from each

Coin Administration Officer

Most Coin Quests can be repeated an infinite number of times, however, there are a handful of one-time Coin Quests.

Coin Compensation

It is a coin awarded by Sanctum.

When players complete a Coin Quest, most often the reward will be 1-2 Coins of the Coin type appropriate for the level of the Quest. In addition, players might receive a Coin Chest and Demon’s Eyes or Angel’s Eyes.

Coin Chests

Coin Chests are usually rewarded upon completing a Coin Quest. These Coin Chests will contain 1-10 Coins.

You can obtain Mithril coins by opening the chest. But there is no knowing how many it may hold inside.

Demon’s Eyes and Angel’s Eyes

There are a handful of Coin Quests in the game that will reward Demon’s Eyes and Angel’s Eyes upon completion. Asmodians players will earn Demon’s Eyes, and Elyos players will earn Angel’s Eyes. These “Eyes” can be turned-in to certain NPCs (along with a few thousand Kinah) for more Coins.

Bonarunerk, a Black Cloud Trader interested in Demon’s Eyes.

Find him at the BuBu Village in Brusthonin

Nagrunerk, a Bounty Hunter  interested in Angel’s Eyes.

Find him at the Jamanok Inn in Theobomos.

Coin Exchange

Coin Exchange edit

Players can exchange their hard earned Coins with NPCs in Elysea, Asmodae, and Balaurea for rewards. As one would expect, Fabled rewards tend to cost the most Coins, followed by Heroic rewards, then Superior.

See the table below for a basic breakdown of Coin costs based on item level, type, and grade:
