2.6 Crafting Updates
In Aion 2.6, there are two major additions to the Crafting system affecting the Alchemy profession. The first addition affects elemental stones, which can now be broken down into their lower grade form through new designs.
The second addition is related to combat scrolls, which can now be crafted using materials found in Balaurea.
New Elemental Stone Designs
Players can now purchase designs to break down elemental stones into their lower grade forms. These new designs have several practical applications. For example, if a level 55 player wanted to craft potions for a friend who was level 38, Major Elemental Stones would be required. With these new designs, the level 55 player would be able to break down their Fine Elemental Stones into Major Elemental Stones to craft potions for a level 38 player.
These new break down designs for elemental stones craft at a 1:1 ratio, and players will need to purchase a catalyst to perform the craft. Both the new designs and the catalysts can be purchased from an Alchemy Merchant.
New Combat Scroll Designs
Aion 2.6 introduces four new designs for existing combat scrolls. These new designs offer an alternative to craft the four standard types of combat scrolls from materials found in Balaurea, rather than materials from Asmodae or Elysea.
The introduction of these designs ensures that players no longer have to travel back to lower level zones to gather materials. In addition, these new designs, available at 480 Alchemy skill, will provide assistance to players advancing towards Master of Alchemy.
The new combat scroll designs drop from the elite humanoids in the Subterranea and Undirborg regions of Gelkmaros and Inggison.
