HUD (heads up display) and UI (user interface) have changed in design and color.

The new map system allows you to zoom into specific points of the map. In addition, there are many options in the left pane that can be checked on and off.

Added the ability to toggle information shown on map.
Map objects and Quest information are displayed on the left side of the map interface and you may select which of the options you wish to be shown on the map.
When checked, the selected objects will display on the map.
Quest tab window displays Quest information that is available. Selected Quests in the area will show the Quest icon on the map and some area information will be displayed as well.

Map Tools
By clicking the World Map icon in the top right, you will be able to see region maps available for detailed view.
Icons on the right indicate additional functions of the map as listed below.
| By clicking My Position, the map will indicate your character’s current point on the map. |
| Clicking this icon will allow you to search for a specific NPC, monster, or item. |
| The Help button opens the Help window. |
Instance Information
When toggled on, instance entry points will be displayed on the map. You can receive addition information about the instance by mousing over the icon.
There is a new icon indicating instances that are unavailable to you due to level restrictions.
Fortress and NPC information display
Fortress information can be easily seen by mousing over the fortress icon on the map.
Icons have been added to the mini-map to display functional NPCs, Quest icons, and objects.
The character select screen has been updated to include new icons above each character’s name.
An envelope icon will appear above the names of characters with unchecked mail.
A Kinah bag icon will appear above the names of characters with items left to settle at the Broker.
1. A new open/close animation has been added to all windows.
2. Combo skill icons can now be displayed on your skill bar in the order that they are avabilable. Enable this feature through the game options menu.
3. New marking icons 5 and 6 have been added to available brands.
4. Active quests now display when mousing over an NPC.
A character's motions can now be modified to further customize your character.
To view your available motions, select the ‘motion' tab from the character window.
Permanent Motion manuals can be purchased from the "Preceptor of Emoting” NPC
(Elyos: Andreas / Asmodian: Seriphim) in your capital city.
The item information window can now be enlarged.
Clicking the arrow in the right column will hide the seller’s name, providing more room for easier browsing of items with a long name.
