| Buff** | This pet will hold onto some of your food, drink, and scrolls and auto-apply them to you when your previous buff ends! |
| Loot** | This pet will automatically loot enemies that you defeat. The looted items will automatically be applied to your inventory. Note: This feature will not work in groups with certain distribution settings. |
| Purebred | Though much more rare than the others, Purebred pets offer more than one of the above functions. |

Choose an Interaction |
New with the 2.5 update!
Checking your pet’s status and using different emotes learned from pet manuals will improves your pet’s mood.
There is a cool down of 10 minutes before you can check your pet’s status again.
If you haven’t learned any pet emotes you will not be able to check your pet’s status.
Selecting your pet will display an Interaction Petbar near your Quickbar. Initially, this gives you two options:
Pet Status: Check your pet’s status to open up your available emotes and increase your pet’s mood.
Pet Present: This option can only be chosen if your pet’s mood is at 100%. There is a 1hr cool down before you can receive another present.
Checking your pet’s status will display another Petbar, which contains the different emotes you have learned – Snuggle Pet, Play with Pet, Groom Pet, and Train Pet.
Choosing an available emote will trigger a reaction from the pet and its mood will increase (Each emote offers the same increase in mood).
Pets have three random reactions when you interact with them – normal, good, very good – Very Good increases the pet mood more than the others. This reaction is not common and has a low percentage of occurrence (roughly 10%). Watch out for the special animation when your pet gives a Very Good reaction.
Acquiring Pet Manuals
|

You may purchase manuals from the pet merchant. |
In order to use the different pet emotes available, you must first acquire the manual and learn it like any other emote or skill. Pet manuals may be purchased from a Pet Merchant with Kinah or received as a reward after completing certain quests.
Elyos can complete 3 chain quests: Leah’s Loneliness > Emotional Pet > Love for Pet
Asmodian can complete 3 chain quests: Mane’s Best Friend > Pet’s Hidden Thoughts > Pet Waiting for Love
Pet Mood
|

The Pet Mood system was added in version 2.5 |
Keeping your pet summoned and using the different pet management functions will continue to increase the pet’s mood until it reaches 100%, then you can receive a Pet Present.
Checking Pet Mood
When you click on the pet, there is status bar at the top of the screen that represents the pet’s mood. When you mouse-over the status bar it will display the pet’s mood and current status.
Managing your Pet’s Mood
|

Play with your pet to quickly improve its mood! |
|

Your pet’s mood increases just by keeping it out! |
There are two ways to keep your pet happy.
One is by playing with the pet or by using the pet emotes available. Another is by keeping your pet summoned. The former can only be used once every 10 minutes and you’ll see a larger increase on the mood gauge. The latter boosts your pet’s mood over time and is convenient because no action is needed.
Conditions for Mood Reset
The conditions in which a pet’s mood is reset are listed below. Be careful not to lose what you’ve worked so hard to gain.
Summoning another pet will reset your pet’s mood
If a pet is dismissed for over ten minutes the Pet Mood will be reset. However, if you have not summoned any other pet during those 10 minutes you can still summon that pet and it will maintain its mood.
When the pet’s mood reaches 100% and you get a Pet Present the mood will be reset.
A Gift from your Pet
When the pet mood reaches 100% you can select “pet present” in the interaction bar or management menu (This option is only available when your pet’s mood is 100%).
Upon selecting this option, you will receive a Pet Present as the reward. Opening the present will give you a number of coins dependant on the character level.
You can only use the Pet Present command once an hour, even if the pet’s mood is at 100% again. This applies to all pet’s, so you will be unable to switch pets and receive another present in that same hour.
Using Your Pet’s Functions
Functional pets are pets that have functions like their own Inventory or Auto-feeding. The pet’s description is displayed in the Pet window next to the pet information.
Pet functions can be used and set in the Pet Window. You can move items to your Pack pets Inventory here and set the food, drinks, and magical items for an Auto-feeding pet to use.

Only Fortune Pets eat vendor Pet Food |
Fortune Pets – Feeding
Fortune pets need to be fed and each type requires a specific type of food. If you feed them until they are full, they will produce a bundle item that is placed in your Inventory and can be opened to receive a gift.
To feed your pet, go to the Feeding tab in the Pet window and then drag the appropriate food to the food bowl slot.
Most pets will only eat a particular food type and once they are fully fed, they will need to wait a while before eating again.
Pets mainly eat junk items (that can be acquired during hunting), so it’s good to collect and hold on to them for a later feeding.
Note: Pets cannot be fed while in combat mode.
Related Page >> Pet Food
The Feeding tab allows you to see your pet’s current State, what type of food and treats they eat, and even feed your pet. When full, pets must wait 10mins before eating again.
Pack Pets – Inventory
This pet comes fully equipped with its own Pet Bag (Inventory) that can be opened through the Pet window. The number of spaces available depends on the pet type. You can use your pet’s pouch anytime, anywhere.
* You can store untradeable items and quest items in your pet’s bag.
* Make sure you don’t forget about quest items, as they won’t update in the Quest status this way.
|

When you call a pack pet, a paw icon will appear in your inventory to open the pet’s bag. |
Buffing Pet - Holding Bag
Buffing pets can use food, drinks, and magical items for you when they are placed in the pet’s Feed Bag. Typically you would have to reuse these items when their time expires or create a macro to do it for you, but with an auto-feeding pet it will happen automatically when the time hits 0. This function can be toggled on/off from the Feed Bag tab of the Pet window.
Looting - Pick Up Item
Looting pets pick up items for their master. You can toggle this function from the Pet Loot tab of the Pet window.
Note: The pet can only pick up items within 28m and if you have ownership of the loot. It will not pick up any untradeable items, those that require a dice roll, or if the loot setting is Free-For-All.
Hot Keys
The 2.5 update introduced the option to set hot keys for different pet actions.
[Options] → [Key Mapping] tab to set hot keys to open your Pet List and Pet Info or to Select Pet.
|

Assign a Select Pet key in the Group section of the keybindings tab. |
|

You can also assign keys to Pet List and Pet Info |
