2.0 Item Changes 2.0 Item Changes Edit

Along with the new items brought to Aion in Assault on Balaurea, many existing items received upgrades.

The biggest changes have been in crafted items and named monster drop items from instanced dungeons. An Enmity Boost stat has been added to some armors and Strike Resistance and Strike Fortitude stats have been added to some accessories.

Items Specialized for PvE

Items Specialized for PvE edit

Not all items have changed in the 2.0 update. Changes mostly happened with crafted items and items dropped in instanced dungeons. A few quest items have been changed as well. Armor with the new Enmity Boost stat is more specialized for PvE, just as Abyss Items are more specialized for PvP.

Crafted Item Enhancements

Crafted Item Enhancements edit

Only a few of the crafted weapons received a change.  Most of these are level 20 and above of Superior grade or higher.  The most common change was the addition of attack speed and cast speed to some noble items.

Instanced Dungeon Weapon Enhancements

Instanced Dungeon Weapon Enhancements edit

For the Triroan and Lannok series*, stats for the bow, spellbook and orb have been improved. For the orb and spellbook, an additional version of each weapon has been added that has casting speed instead of attack speed. Casters lucky enough to find both can combine them for a very powerful weapon.

*Both of these series have received the same changes.

Shield Enhancements

Shield Enhancements edit

Shields have also received a stat boost.  Along with the enmity boost or reduction, many shields will now more commonly have the physical defense, block, magic resist, concentration, or Max HP stats.  Shields with enmity reduction have generally received a high concentration bonus to help healers who do pull aggro.

Armor Enhancements

Armor Enhancements edit

The most significant Armor Enhancement added is Enmity Boost. Some plate armor will now provide a boost to the enmity generated, while other armor types will reduce it. This will help tank classes better keep the enemies off of their group members and keep control over the battle.

Most of the armor that has received this upgrade is crafted or from instanced dungeons, but some other items such as Guardian Commando Series and Silver Mane Tribe Series received it as well.
